• Where does Chupon get our chocolate? Where are the cocoa beans grown?

Chupon uses the highest quality Swiss chocolate available: Neuchatel. Beans come from several different regions of the world, each which offers unique and varied essence to the chocolate. Places such as Tanzania, Ghana, Brazil, and Ecuador produce our cocoa beans. Whenever possible, we will share where the region of origin of the cocoa beans.

• What does Neuchatel chocolate mean?

Neuchatel was taken from the Swiss city of Neuchatel, which is also known for its chocolates. Permission was given to use the name Neuchatel under strict guidelines, one of them being that the ingredients come from Switzerland.

• How does Chupon infuse the flavors our the chocolate?

Whether it is green tea from Japan or chipotle from Mexico, let’s just say that the infusion process is one that takes a long time to perfect. But the results are so worth it.

• Why is the Swiss process of creating chocolate better than others?

There are several factors that make Swiss chocolate superior to other options. First is that the Swiss start with high-quality cocoa beans imported from places that produce only the best cocoa in the world. This includes Tanzania, Ghana, and areas of South America. Second is that the milk used in Swiss chocolate is homegrown from Swiss cows–none of that powered stuff is found in our high quality chocolates. This provides a freshness and silkiness that powdered milk cannot produce. The third factor is that the dry Swiss air adds a special quality to the chocolate that cannot be reproduced in the U.S. where the climate is too humid. The result is pure chocolate magic.

• What company do we use to ship & how the price is calculated?

We use UPS and USPS to ship our products. Shipping prices are calculated by the weight of the package. From time to time, we may offer promotions of free shipping. Check back often to see our current promotions.

• What are Chupon’s shipping policies?

Anyone who has ever tried to eat a bit of chocolate on a hot day knows how sensitive it is to temperature. To ensure the satisfaction of our customers, we have some specific guidelines we follow about shipping to hot climates, which can be found here.
